Comparable in size to a 40ft container, it retains the benefits of flat-pack construction. Additionally, each 20ft unit can function independently.

Assembling the end-linked 20ft XL bundle requires a skilled team due to the larger, heavier components, which necessitate the use of lifting equipment such as a forklift, telescopic handler, crane, or overhead gantry. While machinery is essential for handling the floor and roof components, other parts can be moved manually if needed, typically requiring 4-6 people and a thorough risk assessment.
 
Despite the need for mechanized lifting, the Portable Pods Storage range retains its core advantages. The 20ft XL end-linked bundle can be delivered to locations where standard HIAB-equipped vehicles cannot operate. For instance, on construction sites or open fields, the components can be transported using an all-terrain forklift, telehandler, or small flatbed truck, avoiding the high costs of standard container delivery.
 
The end-linked design is ideal for storing long materials or equipment in areas where a traditional container may not fit. Common uses include storage for rowing and canoe clubs, football and rugby clubs for goalposts, athletics clubs, and on-site storage at factories, warehouses, and construction sites for long steel, pipes, or electrical conduits.
 
It’s important to note that the assembled end-linked bundle cannot be lifted from above or below, as the linking kit isn’t designed for such purposes and would be too large to lift. Linking is limited to one direction (either side-by-side or end-to-end) within a single structure. However, you can expand your setup by adding unlimited 20ft XL storage units and linking kits when purchasing this product.
